Car seats

Jeff and I have been playing musical cars with getting oil changes and new tires. Mamma has been really helpful by picking me up so I wouldn't have to sit and wait. Luke got to ride in his Grandma's car and car seat. We found these thick strap covers that help hold his head up while driving around. They worked great but I had to take a picture because it looked so funny! They sorta look like Dumbo ears. He was mad getting into the car seat but he slept really well on these two big pillows.

Jeff, Lukas, and I visited with Tammy, Matt and Karleigh Sunday evening to hear about their trip to Disney World. Karleigh was excited to see Baby Luke Luke and wanted to hold him so badly. She got the chance and she seemed to enjoy it. She didn't want anyone helping her hold him though....and we know how she holds her baby dolls so someone hand a hand on Luke at all times!!

Well, being a one month old is full of "firsts" for Luke (and Jeff and I) and last night was one. Luke slept in his room last night for the first time. I think he did really well. At first I hesitated to put him in there but with our wonderful monitor that my cousin and her family gave us I could hear and see him. So instead of falling asleep to the tv I fell asleep watching the monitor. I slept great because I didn't wake up at every sound that Luke makes at night when he is getting himself to sleep and while he sleeps (he occasionally screams in his sleep). When it is time to eat you definitely hear him.

Luke also got his first manicure yesterday. I finally cut his nails since he cuts his face with them when he is angry and he has cut Jeff and I. I tackled the task while he slept and he slept the whole time. I was so scared I would cut the tip of his finger off but it was pretty easy. I think his nails being so long might have made it easier.

Well, gotta go. Little fella is started to get hungry again!

Smiles

Luke has now started smiling some while awake. He has been smiling and even laughing a lot in his sleep, but today he gave me some smiles while awake. I tried to get some pictures but they aren't real great of the smiles.

My baby is one month old today!!

I can't believe that it has already been a month that Luke has been here. People aren't kidding when they say time flies. I have already forgotten what it was like before he was here (although I do remember 8+ hours of sleep at night). Here are some pictures of my handsome one month old.

Luke had a doctors appointment today and he is doing great. He is now 9 pounds 2 ounces. Next time he goes he has to get some shots, but I'm not telling him!!

Jeff's birthday & Easter

Here is Luke out at Jeff's cookout. It ended up being a lot cooler than we expected! He still had fun celebrating his daddy's 27th birthday.

Here is Luke's original Easter outfit. He did very well with his first trip to church. The service lasted a little longer than usual so feeding time came up at 12:00. So we scooted to the nursery before he started screaming.

This was Luke's final outfit for the day on Easter Sunday. Between peeing and throwing up everywhere he went through 4 outfits. We're still trying to find diapers to get the job done!

Lukas' First Bath

Lukas had his first tub bath last night. He seemed to like it but wasn't real happy when it was time to get out. He was so cold when it was time to get out. I got some really cute pictures! Now Luke is a really clean baby!!!!
